New Haven: Center of the world

These information fairs I've been attending have been very educational. Today I found out that two musical acts from Canada will be coming to New Haven in the very near future. On September 9th, Bruce Cockburn and The Arrogant Worms will be performing at The New Haven Folk Festival.

We've been listening to The Arrogant Worms lately, enjoying such classics songs as the hilarious, Celine Dion, We are the Beaver, and Canada's Really Big. Read the lyrics, they will make you proud to be Canadian and hopefully give you a chuckle or two. We actually had no idea they were going to be in town so imagine our surprise when we picked up a flyer advertising musical acts from The Great White North.

In exciting literary news, I learnt that John Ashbery, one of the influential "New York School" poets, and one of the most important American poets of the late half of the 20th century will be reading at the Battell Chapel on September 20th! You can be sure I'll be there with bells on. Big, shiny bells.
