5000

My counter has reached the 5000 mark. Thanks for reading everybody!

Canada's most enigmatic and controversial poet, the late Irving Layton, is having his memoir, Waiting for the Messiah rereleased by McClelland and Stewart this month. It should be a fascinating read.

Have you heard of The City of Words project? Conceived by Blue Metropolis, it involves permanently displaying quotes from prominent Montreal writers on buildings across the city. I love the idea of promoting art and poetry using murals in urban centres. Some of the writers they've selected include Nicole Brossard, Leonard Cohen, Mordecai Richler, and Michel Tremblay.
