I made it to Moncton last evening about 15 minutes early- though it was nice to get off the plane; it was quite bumpy at times. I took a cab to Sackville and had an interesting conversation with a cabbie named Dave (I always seem to have "interesting" conversations with cab drivers in the Maritimes). I found Maryn's apartment - oops, I mean our apartment without too much hassle. We're in a great location; right next to the video store and next door to the firestation (at least we know we'll be safe if we have a fire).

Maryn had a delicious supper prepared: fresh bread, cheese, a nice salad, and a homemade leek pie. Oh and dessert was homemade too; a rich chocolate cake! I can't wait to practice my cooking and perhaps I'll learn a thing or two when I start catering.

The apartment is very cute and cozy. It feels as if we're in a little country house. Maryn's done a great job decorating the place and I'll be sure to have some photos up as soon as possible.

We spent the evening relaxing and watching some Simpsons and MadTV. It's so much nicer to watch TV together in person rather than having to communicate over the telephone - although that's nice too, it's just not the same.

We've been busy today, we already went to the farmer's market and bought some homemade foods (mustard pickles, Indian samosas, fresh bread). Right now we're waiting for Maryn's parents to arrive. They're coming to spend the night so we can celebrate Maryn's father's birthday. We've been cooking ALLLL day :) We made a potato gratin (first time for both of us), a quinoa salad, appetizers, stuffed tomatoes and Maryn made an apple pie. Mmm mmm, I'm looking forward to supper tonight.

Have a good evening everyone. Stay safe Sackville.
