On Sunday morning we woke up early (early for me has been any time under eleven but for your information, I've been waking up around 9 since coming back to Sackville) and headed to Moncton with Maryn's parents. We had a huge breakfast at Chez Cora's and then made our way to Champlain Mall to do some shopping. We got some necessary knick-knacks for the apartment and also a bigger aquarium for Fanta. I'll have to post some before and after pictures of him soon because the dude's gotten HUGE. He seems happy but his old aquarium is getting way to small.
After the Stockman's dropped us off back home, Maryn and I built a new bookshelf for the living room and since it was such a nice day, we went for a walk to the Waterfowl Park. It's so peaceful walking across the park's winding boardwalks and since I've never been here in the summer, I was surprised to see how many lupins and flowers there are along the pathways; the purples and pinks of the flowers really stand out.
In the evening, I baked for pretty much the first time in my life; I baked corn muffins! Pretty easy too and with the "O Brother Where Are Thou?" soundtrack playing in the background, it felt like we were way in the deep south. All we needed was some grits and a banjo.
To end the night off with a bang we watched Napoleon Dynamite and had ourselves a good laugh. If you haven't seen it yet; do it so you can:
"vote for Pedro and make all your wildest dreams come true".
