Imagine you're checking out a cool poetry website you've admired for years and discover that a poem of yours - one that you sent out two years ago in the hopes that it would be published but then subsequently assumed it had been rejected and you eventually forgot about - has actually been published!
It turns out my poem "Elegy" is #670 in the Poems-for-All series.
The series is the brain child of Richard Hansen and is based out of Sacramento, CA. Since 2001 they've been publishing tiny poetry booklets that are distributed randomly for people to discover. And we all know I'm certainly all for random acts of poetry!

They're scattered around town -- on buses, trains, cabs, in restrooms, bars, left along with the tip; stuffed into a stranger's back pocket. Whatever. Wherever. Small poems in small booklets half the size of a business card. A project of the 24th street irregular press, which cranks them out to be taken by the handful and scattered like seeds by those who want to see poetry grow in a barren cultural landscape.
