Palimpsest and FeatherTale

If you are affiliated with the Yale graduate school in any way, this is a reminder that the deadline for Palimpsest's creative submissions is tomorrow Wednesday, November 15th. Find out about formatting details here.

I'm really excited about how things are progressing for the Spring 2007 issue. A lot of great ideas are falling into place, our publicity team is working tirelessly to get Palimpsest distributed nationwide, and the magazine is growing in its influence and circulation. Be on the look out for more information about content and contributors.

In other news, FeatherTale has updated their site with some new goodies. Check out their poetry, short fiction, cartoons, and monkey banter.

I recently received The FeatherTale Review in the mail and I was really impressed. Not only is the layout of the magazine gorgeous but the content is outstanding as well. This was not put together by one monkey - but possibly a roomful of hyper-intelligent monkeys.

Sixty-eight pages of original humour from the likes of Graham Roumieu, a poem by renowned children's author, Robert Munsch, and two-dozen of the funniest writers, poets, and illustrators around.

It's hard to tell you what to look out for because the whole magazine is filled with great stuff but I'd really recommend reading "My Best Friend Patrick", "A Dip in Hemingway's Pool", "Conquering Newfoundland: One Macaroon at a Time", "The Greatest Small World Story Ever", and "A Dog Named Sex".
