The Link needs your "December Monologues"

To commemorate the 14 women killed on Dec. 6, 1989 here in Montreal at the Ecole Polytechnique, The Link publishes a special issue against violence. Traditionally the "Women Against Violence" special issue, this year The Link is also open to articles encompassing themes of gender-based violence. The deadline for stories is this Friday (Dec. 1) by midnight.
As Literary Arts Editor, I'm particularly interested in encouraging people to submit their "December Monologues." These are a take on The Vagina Monologues, and we're looking for people interested in writing first-person monologues on the theme of violence against women or gender-based violence. They can be personal or about something that happened to a friend, optimistic or otherwise. Published together as a group, these could have a real impact, showing that violence is expressed in different ways and no one's experience is the same.
If you have a story to tell, but need help expressing it, please let us know -- we can help!
Contact Misha Warbanski at editor[at]thelink[dot]concordia[dot]ca or Lina Harper at managing[at]thelink[dot]concordia[dot]ca for more info or to submit.
