School Night

Today I experienced my first "three-house progressive dinner and mixer" starting from 4pm till 10pm. Not a bad way to celebrate labour day. It was a great way to meet our neighbours and of course when food is involved, you know I'll be there.

In fact, the BBQ isn't the only American pastime we've been enjoying... A few nights ago we concocted a meal of grits with a cornucopia of other ingredients and last night experienced another slice of Americana: Applebee's. Nothing like a platter of their famous Riblets to get your heart pumping... in more ways than one.

Tomorrow I begin classes at Columbia so I should make my way to bed. Good night.
