Lit Stuff

Since John Ashbery is coming to New Haven next week, I went to Sterling Library and picked up two of his early works: Some Trees - which won the Yale Younger Poets Prize in 1956, selected by W.H. Auden) and Tennis Court Oaths. I'm somewhat of a self-professed bibliophile so there's something magical about being able to flip through the worn, dusty pages of the 1956 edition of Ashbery's first major collection.

The "Word of Mouth" Reading Series begins this Friday at the Arts & Literature Laboratory and I haven't decided whether I'm going to perform but even if I don't, I'm looking forward to attending the readings by Kate Greenstreet and Adam Clay.
