The opening night for A Midsummer Night's Dream was a success! We were a bit worried that we wouldn't have a good turn out since it was raining but a lot of people showed up anyway. The show ran smoothly and there were only a few minor things that Jamie (the stage manager) and I noticed that have to be changed or taken care of for the next run. We got a standing ovation and the crowd seemed to really enjoy it.
The cast was surprised at how much people were laughing during the show - performing the same jokes during rehearsals can be tedious but having a fresh audience at hand to appreciate the humour really made everyone realize how funny the play really is. Way to go Shakespeare.
It's a nice day today so the show should be taking place outdoors. Anyway, Maryn and I are heading over to the library and we're also going to run some errands. Have a great day.
