The crazy storm weather is over. It is now nice and chilly but at least it's normal February weather. I had one class today but boy did it drag on. Advanced Shakespeare, and we were studying "Antony and Cleopatra". It's a good play, different from other Shakespeare's stuff in that it's written in dry verse with little rhyming as well as it's epic episodic scenes. Good stuff but after a while my mind began to drift.
After class I had my first rehearsal for "Village Wooing". We've already had a read through but this was the first time that we were able to act all together. J.P. had us do some improv excercises to get our minds in gear and then we went over the first part of the play a few times. He gave us the freedom to play with the characters as well as giving us insights on how he views his vision of the play. I never met Megan before the last read through so we were a little bit cold however this time we're starting to develop some chemistry, which is always important in little romantic comedies like this one. All in all a very good first rehearsal. I'm looking forward to the finished product.
