"Astounded": Bran Van 3000
T'is Wednesday night and I am looking forward to another wonderful class free Thursday. We had a Fantasia party tonight at Harper. For those of you who do not know what that is, it is a store which features a unique variety of products and fine lingerie. This was perfectly planned for Valentines day tomorrow. No it wasn't a "demonstration" but a presentation. There was about 50 people or so in the main lounge and there was a speaker who passed out samples of their products and explained their uses. It was lots of fun, and she was a great speaker. It was like we were watching a comedian but for free. We all had a blast.
So tomorrow is Valentines Day. A day where couples can profess their love, or like for one another. I've always been a romantic at heart so it's nice to see everyone's good intentions around this time. The thing that I would like to address is not to make too much of this day because it is just that - only a day. Too many people place a huge emphasis on this day and try and do something extra special for their loved one. Unfortunately, if one looks into this too much, then there will always be a disappointed person. Showing love for one another should not be exclusive to one day. People should be able to give gifts to their loved ones at all times, for no reason whatsoever. The surprise is what makes it special.
