Montreal Poetry Prize

I'm thrilled that a couple of my friends were finalists for the inaugural 2011 Montreal International Poetry Prize.

My dear friend Joshua Levy had two of his poems "Venezuela Evening" and "Kibbutz Hazorea" make the longlist. The Longlist Anthology has been made available to download for free as an e-book by Vehicule Press. You can read Josh's poems along with the other finalists HERE.

During my recent stay in Paris, I met the sweet and talented Paula Bohince (who also graciously provided the blurb for my new chapbook, Tweet Tweet Tweet (Corrupt Press, 2011). I'm very happy that Paula's poem "The White Bicycle" made the shortlist. Please click HERE to hear an MP3 of Paula's poem.

Congrats you two!
