Poets Write New York Times Op-Ed

With the election over, the people at The New York Times must have been pretty pooped so they went and got in touch with some poets to write the post-election analysis in verse.

Strange? I don't think so. After all, as Shelley once said, "Poets are the unacknowledged legislators of the world."

Read and listen to some post-election poems by John Ashbery, August Kleinzahler, Joshua Mehigan, Mary Jo Bang, and J. D. McClatchy here.
