Poem In Your Pocket Day

To mark the sixth annual Poem in Your Pocket Day volunteers with the Academy of American Poets handed out poems on April 17th around various sites in New York, including Grand Central Terminal, Union Square, Broadway, and more.

The poems included works drawn from New York City life by Edna St. Vincent Millay, Claude McKay, Walt Whitman and Emma Lazarus, as well as verses of the poetry legends Robert Frost and Emily Dickinson.
