Elaine Equi nominated for the LA Times Book Prize

Elaine Equi, a longtime member of the poetry faculty in The New School's MFA Creative Writing Program, is a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize in poetry for her great collection, Ripple Effect: New and Selected Poems (Coffee House, 2007).

Along with the National Book Award and the National Book Critics Circle Award, the LA Times Book Prize is one of the most important literary honors awarded to American writers.

The winner of the LA Times Book Prize will be announced on April 25 in a ceremony at the Festival of Books in Los Angeles. Congrats Elaine!
