They've been touting the end of books for a while now, especially in this high-tech world filled with the interweb, iPods, YouTubes, Facebooks and um, internet dating... Anyway, only time will tell how much of that end-of-the-world thinking is true. Haven't they been sounding the death knell for books ever since the creation of film and television? Personally I think it's a load of rubbish. Books will continue to be produced and people will continue to read. That being said, here are a couple of articles that are a little less optimistic:
Read Twilight of the Book from The New Yorker.
Read A dismal year for books from the Los Angeles Times.
