The Best American Poetry 2007 Reading

Rather than heading back to New Haven this afternoon, I'll be hanging around NYC to attend The Best American Poetry 2007 reading tonight at The New School's Tishman Auditorium. The 20th volume of the series will feature guest editor, Heather McHugh, and series editor, David Lehman. They'll be reading their own work and introducing contributors including, Robert Pinsky, Alan Shapiro, Kazim Ali, Macgregor Card, Sharon Dolin, Elaine Equi, Thomas Fink, Matthea Harvey, and Maghan O'Rourke.

If I have a chance, I want to give Pinsky mad props in person for his hilarious appearance on The Colbert Report as the judge for the "Meta-Free-Phor-All" between Stephen Colbert and Sean Penn. That was sweet.

More here.

Sounds like fun, Greg!

You'll have to tell me all about it.
