In honor of International Women's Day, Ruth Padel, prize-winning poet and former chair of the UK Poetry Society chooses her favorite women poets. I would also have chosen 1, 2, 3 (Bishop would be my first pick), 6, and 7 (I'm usually not a huge fan of Carson but Autobiography of Red is unbelievably good). I would also suggest adding Polish poet Wistawa Szymborska.
