Seamus Heaney wins the T.S. Eliot Prize

I'm surprised that Heaney has never won the Eliot prize (he ends up winning £10,000, roughly $22,000 Cdn) but he has finally captured that which has eluded him for so long. I have to admit, though, I haven't had a chance to read District and Circle or even much of his most recent work but Death of a Naturalist is still one of my all time favorite collections.

Read about his win from CBC and The Guardian.
