The Poetry Archive

The Poetry Archive was started by Andrew Motion soon after he became U.K. Poet Laureate in 1999. It exists to help make poetry more accessible, relevant, and enjoyable to a wide audience. Here you can listen to the likes of Allen Ginsberg, John Ashbery, Billy Collins, Seamus Heaney, Langston Hughes, and many more. There's just something so satisfying about being able to listen to a poet read from their work and to hear their specific accents, where they put their emphases, their pauses, and so on.
