Simpsons

Anyone see last night's Simpsons episode? While doing a school report on Moe, Lisa discovers his dark poetic talent (comparing him to T.S. Eliot) and helps get him published in "American Poetry Perspectives". Moe, Lisa, and the rest of the Simpsons are offered an invitation to a literary conference in Vermont where they meet Tom Wolfe, Gore Vidal, Jonathan Franzen, and Michael Chabon.

Ah, nothing like poking fun at high-falutin' literary culture. Some of the best moments included Bart running up to a crowd of writers and announcing - I'm paraphrasing here - "The DaVinci Code just sold another 10,000 copies," causing them to groan and collapse; Gore Vidal's surprisingly funny performance; and Franzen and Chabon's fist fight.
