Lit-stuff

New York may be the writers town to be in but New Haven is pretty formidable in its own right. Lots of lit-stuff going on here over the next week:

On Friday and Saturday, November 3-4 there's an international conference on 50 Years of Brazilian Concrete Poetry. Also on Saturday, there will be a reading by a couple of writers and the series editor from The Best New American Voices series.

Next week is also looking very interesting. On Monday, November 6th, Patrick Wald-Lasowski, one of Maryn's professors is doing a lecture on one of my favourite French writers, Guy de Maupassant. Then on Wednesday, November 8th there will be a poetry reading by Natasha Trethewey at The Beinecke. Lastly, that same night, Ian McEwan will also be doing a reading.

I probably won't be able to attend all the events but I'll try my best.
