Black Heart, Carmine Starnino, and New Haven

I'm a day late but yesterday Black Heart had their Wednesday weekly update. This one is by occasional correspondent, Val Capone. Check out "Business People in Love" by Val Capone here.

I got an e-mail a few days ago informing me that The Link had a bunch of books to give away now that the office was being closed for the summer. Mmm free books... so today I was able to get my hands on Carmine Starnino's controversial book of essays and reviews, A Lover's Quarrel, as well as his book of poetry, With English Subtitles. Not really breezy summer reading but I'm interested in seeing if I agree with his lively, sometimes enraging views on Canadian Literature.

Tomorrow I'm heading to New Haven, Connecticut with Maryn to go apartment hunting. Wish me luck! I'll be back next week.
