Words & Music Show at Casa del Popolo on Sunday, March 26th

I got an e-mail from Laura Roberts, Editor-In-Chief of Black Heart Magazine and it turns out she’ll be reading at the Words & Music Show this Sunday at Casa del Popolo. The line-up also includes Jon Paul Fiorentino, who will have his much-anticipated new book of poetry (The Theory of the Loser Class) with him. Support Laura, Jon Paul, and the rest of the performers by stopping by for what should be a very fun night.

Here’s the press release for Sunday’s event:

BACKGROUND

Jon Paul Fiorentino will be performing with his new book
"The Theory of the Loser Class," which is just out
from Coach House Press. You can find out more about Jon
Paul at: jonpaulfiorentino.com

Pharmakon is an amazing trance improv band that has
been performing with Ian Ferrier since June 2005. It
consists of Jon Stein on laptop & bass, Kris Mah on
guitar and Doug Stein on percussion, as well as guests.
Their first work together with Ian is being released
by Bongobeat Records this year.

About Black Heart Magazine, Laura Roberts says:
"Black Heart is an independent magazine by and for
people who are tired of clichés about love and lust, as well
as poorly written jerk-off material. We like thoughtful
porn, something along the lines of Nerve, and tend to prefer
sad stories about good love gone bad. Not everything has a
happy ending, after all." You can find out more about Laura
and the magazine she edits at: blackheartmagazine.com

Erik Virtanen is a Montreal singer/songwriter. This
is his first performance at the Words & Music Show.

The Words & Music Show is brought to you by
the QuebecWriters' Federation, CKUT 90.3 FM,
the IPOLC program of the Department of Canadian Heritage
and Wired on Words Productions.
