I've been busy catching up on assignments but I thought I'd take a break and do a little blogging.

Have you seen Johnny Canuck and the Last Burlesque yet? If you haven't, what are you waiting for? Scantily-clad ladies, an "All-Canadian superhero", Montreal history, The Marx Brothers, a live band (with a drummer who looks suspiciously like Richard Dreyfuss), and the opportunity to see Hitler getting the crap beat out of him; what's not to like? Run, don't walk to Mainline theatre on St. Laurent to see the show while you still can. It's playing until this Sunday, February 12th so don't miss your opportunity to have a really fun evening.

If slapstick comedy and strippers aren't your bag but you're still in the mood for some theatre, I'd suggest going to Centaur Theatre to see Vittorio Rossi's family epic, Hellfire Pass. The first part of what Rossi calls "The Carpenter Trilogy", Hellfire Pass is set in 1950's Chicago and begins with the return of a long-lost son whose visit causes family lies and secrets to be revealed, resulting in some very riveting drama.

You can find a good review of Hellfire Pass: here.
