Anti-Hallmark Valentine Day Party!

Head and Hands is going to have an Anti-Hallmark Valentine Day Party on Thursday, February 9th at El Salon (4388 St. Laurent).

The evening will feature acts like Montreal DJ's DJ Maus and Julie D, rockout act Kill the Lights, and the punk band Tundra. Also performing will be Andrew Johnston and The Dead Doll Dancers.

The cost is $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Tickets are available at Head and Hands, 5833 Sherbrooke W, 481-0277.

The night will also serve as the launch party for Head and Hands' 2006 Save Our Sex Ed (SOS) campaign. They intend to raise funds to provide sex ed classes, free legal advice, and non-judgmental medical advice for everyone under the age of 25 in Quebec.

Like it says on H & H site: "Unlike other diseases, STI's and AIDS are completely preventable and education is the key to protection. Support Head and Hands in the SOS campaign and help us make sure that Montreal youth get the sex education they deserve."

The money is going to a great cause and it'll be a fun time so I'm looking forward to seeing some of you there.

Black Heart Magazine is also going to have a table there, selling copies of issue #2 and hopefully advance copies of the Anti-Valentine's Day issue.
