Good afternoon everyone. It's 23 degrees here in Sackville but it feels like 31 degrees with all this humidity. Luckily, Sackville is always pretty windy so at least we get a nice breeze to go along with the heat.

I've been able to get a great deal of cooking done here with Maryn. Yesterday we made crepes for breakfast and for supper I made homemade Nan bread while Maryn made matar paneer (green peas and cheese curry). We put on an Indian instrumental CD and it felt as if we were dining in a little restaurant by the Ganges.

This morning I felt like being adventurous and made churros (some people would say they are like Spanish doughnuts) for breakfast. I had never made them before but I remember seeing my mother and grandmother making them when I was younger and thought it would be nice to start learning how to do them myself. I used a mixture of recipes from the internet and from the recipe book that came along with the churrera and they came out extremely well. We got out a bowl of sugar to dip them in and some hot chocolate and voila; a Spanish feast. My family would be proud.

I received an offer to be the Assistant Stage Manager for the Festival By the Marsh's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream and I'm thinking that would be a great experience for me. I haven't been involved in a theatre production since graduating from Mount Allison and I've been itching to get involved in some capacity. For those of you who were in performances with me at St. George's you probably remember my brief stint as pseudo-stage manager in Graham Greene's, The Power and the Glory after I spent most of my time making sure all the props were in place before every performance. Just because I'm a little obsessive compulsive that way.
