I wanted to add a little something to what I said yesterday about Oprah's book club. I do get annoyed when I see her little seals of approval on the cover of books. But I am also well aware that by discussing some of those books on her program, Oprah is introducing literature to people who would otherwise never read works such as Homer's Iliad or The Grapes of Wrath. I think that's great because anything that encourages reading is ok by me.
