Good afternoon everyone. Boy am I pooped but extremely happy! I just finished doing the first coat of paint on my ceiling and soon I'll be going to work on the wallpaper. Things are going really smoothly and I can't to see my room when it's all finished.
Yesterday I went to see an amazing concert for only twenty dollars. Josh and I went to see Jason Mraz play at Club Soda on St. Laurent. The concert was at nine and we tried to leave earlier to make sure we had good spots. Unfortunately we forgot the address and ended up going further than we really needed to go. Luckily I had my cell phone and got help from my mom. We realized it was closer than we thought it was. No matter, we got there and parked near Club Soda thinking we found an amazing parking space-I'll get back to that later.
I can't remember who opened for Mraz but they got the crowd pumped up and going. It's always nice to have a really good opening band start up the show. I'll have to admit though, I don't really know much about Jason Mraz and I've only really heard one of his songs (Zero Percent Interest - which he didn't play) but I really didn't need to because he was really impressive.
High point of the night for me was hearing him sing "Rainbow Connection". I felt kind of odd holding a beer in my hand while listening to a kids song but it was great nonetheless. After the show Josh got a sandwich from Subway and we headed back to the car. When we got there we saw that Josh got a ticket. What I don't get is that the sign really didn't make sense and it wasn't clear at all. So Josh if you're reading this I'll pay half of your ticket. Don't worry about it buddy. They can't keep us down!
I'm going to be heading downtown soon to take a little break. Have a great long weekend folks!
