"Step Right Up": Tom Waits
I saw "Punch-Drunk Love" yesterday starring Adam Sandler and I was highly impressed. I have to admit I wasn't used to seeing Sandler in a dramatic role but he did a great job. The acting was wonderful and the cinematography and score were hauntingly beautiful. This is not a movie for people expecting a silly no brain comedy but it is not right to say that this movie isn't funny. "Punch-Drunk Love" is filled with intensity, humour, sadness, and love. It has a wonderfully written script and I feel this is PT Anderson's best film to date. I liked his other films "Boogie Nights" and "Magnolia" but not as much as Punch-Drunk. Go see it if you want to see something different.
