We drove Maryn to the airport today and it's really weird not to have her around after spending so much time with her. We had a great time and it was a wonderful vacation for both of us. I still find it funny that I can feel like a tourist in my own city - Montreal is HUGE!!!
Yesterday we had another amazing home cooked meal at my grandmother's house. She made her famous homemade pizza and boy was it mouth-wateringly delicious. She even made an apple pie in honour of Maryn saying "Hasta La Vista Maryn". My grandparents are so cute.
We later got a lift to go downtown and we checked out the Marie Queen of the World Cathedral and then we were able to do some downtown shopping. We actually ended up buying stuff this time around. We bought a flower plant for my mother to say thank you for such a wonderful time in Montreal and I ended up buying a "Lucky Bamboo" plant for my room and some other little knick knacks since I plan on doing a little redecorating.
My mother treated us at "Tao" restaurant where I ordered their delicious Peking duck. It was a nice way to end Maryn's vacation (and mine as well) with such a nice supper. By the time we got home, we were exhausted and we ended up watching "The Emperors New Clothes" on DVD. We had a relaxing evening and I can't really describe how great it was to have Maryn here and how much fun we had. The next little while is going to be weird not seeing her but at least we know it's only temporary and it's only a matter of time before I see her again.
Have a good weekend everyone.
