"Scared": SG Natos
So Maryn has been in Montreal for 3 days so far and we've been pretty busy. I woke up early and we headed to the airport to pick Maryn up from her flight which arrived at 8:05. My mother then took us the the "Duc de Lorraine" for a Parisien breakfast. We dropped Maryn's stuff back at home and relaxed for a while and then went out for lunch to "Tao" for a good Chinese lunch. We later went for a drive around Montreal. Since we were just going to take it easy, my mother ended up being a wonderful tour guide driving to the lookouts from the mountain, seeing the Old Port and Old Montreal and giving us an idea of what we can see while we're walking by foot.
We were dropped off downtown and checked out the stores such as Simons and Les Ailes de la Mode (man things are expensive here... I mean ridiculous ly expensive. Who would buy a tank top for 120 dollars?) After a nice home cooked supper we went for a late night walk to Summit Circle to see the nice view of Montreal at night as well as to look at the nice houses. We ended up watching "Waynes World 2" and then we called it a night -phew! All that in one day!
Mother's Day was fun as well since we had lunch at my grandmothers house and the family got to meet Maryn and vice-versa. We had a great homecooked meal prepared by my aunt (so that the mother's could take it easy) and it seems that it all went over very well. We later headed downtown, checked out Chapters and decided to see "The Pianist" at the AMC. I urge everyone to see that movie. Somtimes there are events that take place in the world that are so horrific and unimaginable and I think it's important for filmmakers and any kind of artist for that matter to remind us that we should never forget.
