Hello Moondoggy readers. I know it has been awhile but I have been having problems with Blogger and lots of my posts were never posted. I have had to make some little changes but I think everything should be working from now on. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Alot has happened and I don't know if I can remember everything and post it so I'll just start with a recap of my weekend. I went to Moncton with Maryn on Saturday and came back this afternoon. We had a wonderful time. Maryn's parents were nice enough to book a room for us at the "Chateau Moncton" for an early Easter present as well as a way for us to celebrate our 7 months together since I won't be around on the 22nd. We took the 10:25 am bus and were lucky to get a lift from Maryn's friend Jenn's grandfather so we saved a little bit of money. We dropped our bags off at the Hotel and headed to Champlain Mall. We checked out all the prime shopping spots: Toys R Us, The Disney Store, Future Shop, The IT Store, and countless others. We bought pretzels from The Pretzelmaker (YUM!) and then spent some time at Chapters. I ended up buying two Jack Kerouac books - "The Dharma Bums" and "Pomes All Sizes". I was also able to buy the new "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" DVD.
Supper was indescribable. We made reservations to eat at "Pastalli's". We ordered a half-litre of red house wine. I had escargots and angel hair pasta with cheese and vegetables. To top it off we shared a chocolate-caramel cake. It was delicious.
After supper we saw a really silly movie called "A View From The Top" starring Gwenyth Paltrow and Mike Meyers. Terrible writing, bad dialogue, and a predictable plot but it was still fun to go out to the movies. However we later ordered "The Hours" in our hotel room and that was a great movie. I really recommend it.
Today we came back in the afternoon and I went to the Windsor Theatre Party. It was really great to see lots of the people I've been working with over the last couple of years. It's also a nice way to end the year and to remember all the hard work that everyone's done this year in the theatre.
I hope I've been able to keep everyone up to date. Take care!
