Beggars Opera was quite good. I ran into Heidi (who played violin in the show) during the intermission and she asked me whether I thought it felt long. I actually didn't think it felt long at all however she warned me about the second half which was about 1 hour and a half long and then I understood what she meant. Apparently there were 69 songs in total. I thought the performance was really strong and I really enjoyed the orchestral accompanyment (is that even a word?)
It's the weekend! PARTY! My friend Martha from Montreal is coming up to visit this weekend so I think it's going to be really fun. You see I don't get many visitors up here so whenever there is one, it's exciting. I have rehearsals for "Village Wooing" everyday starting tomorrow until Spring Break which begins on the 23rd. Lots of work, but I really believe in the production. It's a great script and a wonderful cast. It should be tons of fun in the sun.
