"Undone - The Sweater Song": Weezer
I'm awake. Sleepy but awake. This morning at brunch I had a Belgium waffle. Now this is not very interesting however I thought it was funny that I thought I poured syrup over the waffle but to my surprise later on, when I tried it, it tasted plain. My syrup had gone all over my sausages and potatoes. Needless to say, my potatoes and sausages tasted a tad too sweet.
Anyhoo, "Harper Does Hollywood" was fun last night. Before the party started I bought myself a 1996 Cabarnet Sauvignon. Mmmmmm - good stuff. I was dressed as a very um suave (at least I thought I was suave) bodyguard to my friend Danielle. There was plenty of dancing, singing, laughing, drinking. Fun indeed. We went to Danielle's room, I brought my guitar and we had a blast singing such classics as "American Pie" and the college favourite "Puff the Magic Dragon".
The band that played in the lounge (TBA) really kicked the night into overdrive. They're a really good band. Plus I know the drummer and one of the singers. They play a lot of cover songs but they always play great jazzy, dancey tunes.
The fun however was cut a little short when some idiot pulled the fire alarm. We had to all evacuate the building in the middle of TBA's set and unfortunately they weren't able to play again once the fire alarm ended. It seemed like we were outside for at least 45 minutes. I had taken of my suit jacket earlier in the night because it was hot and my friend Lindsay did the same so all I can say is that we were...well...FREEZING! Everyone got into a group hug to get some body warmth which helped a bit. Eventually we couldn't take it anymore so we scurried off to the Windsor building and stayed there until we were allowed to go back to Harper. After the alarm, the party was pretty much over. I feel sorry for people who were actually sleeping, that or passed out hehehe, I guess the cold air sobered up a lot of people. My friend Leah and Heidi joined us while we were still huddled in a group. Leah has been sick for a few days and she was trying to sleep so she was out there only in her robe and Heidi had just come back from seeing a movie and was in her sandals. Lots of very cold people last night.
The fire alarm was a downer but overall the party was fun.
