"Island in the Sun": Weezer
And the snow keeps on coming down... there is no end to to this insanity. Oh well, I'll be able to build an igloo when it's all said and done. I went to the pub for the first time in a long time yesterday night and I had myself a little experiment. I was stone cold sober but my goal last night was to convinve people that I had a few too many drinks in my system. It was sort of a dare from my friend Danielle to see if I could convince my other friend Lindsay that I was drunk. Actually it was to see how good of an actor I was. Now the trick in acting drunk is not pretending to be drunk. The way to do it is acting drunk but as a drunk trying to be sober. Meaning, taking a little bit longer to focus your eyes, leaning over just a bit more, and being a little bit louder and exaggerated. All I can say is acting from 11pm to 2am, can take a lot out of you but in the end it was a complete success. Not only did I have my friends convinced, I had many other people convinced as well. However, I'd be quite scared if they released a video of my dancing last night because that was truly a hideous sight. An Oscar winning performance if I do say so myself.
Tonight should be fun, I'm going to go see "Annie Get Your Gun". It's supposed to be good so I'm hoping the length isn't much of an issue because apparently it's 3 and a half hours. People with ADD or short attention spans be warned...
On a completely different note, I noted on a previous weblog entry that my friend Craig has the flu or a really bad cold, in reality as we found out a few days ago, Craig has a bad case of Mono. He hasn't left the building for two days and he really isn't feeling too good at all. I've been trying to send him good vibes to get better but that doesn't seem to be working at the moment. I think the only thing he can do now is get as much rest as possible since you really can't do anything once you have mono. On a lighter note he sounds like Kermit the Frog which is always entertaining - Craig, if you're reading this, you know it's true :)
We've all been kind of scared for Lindsay, Craig's girlfriend, however she seems to be fine. It is possible that Craig caught Mono from Lindsay because she had a pretty bad case of it a couple of summer's ago and maybe she's a carrier and somewhat immune to it. That's one possibility, another possibility is... hey, Craig who "else" have you been kissing :) -hehehehe
